Hartnell College seeks a passionate nursing Professor to teach in our top-rated RN and LVN programs, where students excel on licensing exams. Start Date: Fall 2025. The department offers an associate of science degree in nursing (registered nursing) and an associate science degree and certificate for vocational nursing. Graduates exceed California and national first-time pass rates on the NCLEX-RN and -PN licensing examinations. Programs are approved by the California Boards of Registered and Vocational Nursing and accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. On-campus instruction occurs in state-of-the-art classrooms and clinical skills and simulation learning laboratories. Instructional strategies are based on educational theory, experiential teaching methodologies, interprofessional instructional approaches, distance education practices, professional practice standards, and the National League for Nursing role competencies. Students gain clinical nursing and service learning experiences at acute care hospitals, skilled nursing centers, outpatient clinics, home care agencies, and community wellness centers.
