About The Position

To support the IT manufacturing organization in defining, documenting, supporting, and validating processes necessary to maintain Chattanooga production Shop Floor IT Operations. They will be the first line of service delivery to manage critical and daily user requests. They will be working with application teams, server teams, and business units to provide coordination services under the direction of the local ITP. This individual specializes in delivering first-level support solutions for production-connected systems. This individual is responsible for documenting the processes necessary to maintain such an environment and understanding the technology solutions used to support business processes. This individual works directly with other support teams, business process owners, and technology users to identify and improve support delivery to end users. This individual will support all defined facility processes and work to improve service delivery. This individual is responsible for reviewing, logging, and maintaining monitoring solutions designed to provide alerts in the event of priority instances, as well as reviewing preemptive warnings to prevent critical issues. This individual will identify and report on key performance indicators to ensure the availability of the production systems. This individual will be responsible for auditing and reporting tickets. This position is responsible for managing, maintaining, and delivering phone support, in conjunction with the production control room, for all production equipment. Where necessary, it also coordinates with internal resources and third-party suppliers on the client's behalf to resolve tight timelines.

Requirements

  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • Degree in a computer-related field or Information Technology Management.
  • 1-3 years of professional work experience in related field.
  • Good phone skills (patient, clear communicator).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
  • Basic application configuration skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Competency in working with ticketing and work order management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple activities concurrently.
  • Strong systemic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in defining and validating business processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Good documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operational responsibility for problem management (incident management and problem management) of all items impacting the production floor.
  • Create and maintain technology architecture documentation for transparency.
  • Create and maintain Procedure / Work Instructions.
  • Monitor relevant production systems and report outages as necessary, including escalations to the proper groups.
