About The Position

Cub Mankato East is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a Full Time Produce Manager position! The Produce Manager is responsible to plan and manage the produce department to promote sales, achieve profit margins, labor goals and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers, and safe and positive working environment for associates.

Requirements

• Equipment operation (meat slicer and scale, intercom, telephone, racks, calculator, forklift, meat grinder, cuber, bulker, meat mixer, patty machine, tenderizer, pressure washer, etc.)
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• Memorization, reading, writing and math skills
• On-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates
• Develop effective daily/weekly work plans based on weekly sales projections, budgeted labor goals and previous operating results
• Implement, maintain and coordinate aggressive and creative merchandising plans, using Division guidelines, which maximize sales, variety and gross profit
• Ensure accurate pricing and signage within the department
• Supervise of produce associates to ensure efficient labor utilization and effectiveness in meeting department objectives
• Manage produce receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control and inventory to ensure proper product control and gross profit goals are achieved
• Train and develop produce department personnel
• Supervise department safety and sanitation programs
