About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our family-oriented practice in Lancaster, PA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, a strong commitment to oral health education, and the ability to create a fun and positive experience for young patients.

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygiene license in Pennsylvania.
• Certification to administer local anesthesia in Pennsylvania (preferred but not required).
• Pediatric experience or a genuine passion for working with children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with young patients and their families.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
• Take and interpret digital X-rays as required.
• Educate children and their parents on oral hygiene practices and cavity prevention.
• Assist with dental sealant application and other preventive treatments.
• Build trusting relationships with young patients to reduce dental anxiety.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment, adhering to OSHA and HIPAA standards.
• Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure optimal patient care.
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
