About The Position

Join Our Mission-Driven Team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Ocracoke Health Center, Inc. and the Manteo Community Health Center. Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Active LPN license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain one).
• At least 1 year of nursing experience; clinic or community health experience a plus.
• Proficiency in blood draws and medication dosage calculation.
• A calm, confident presence and the ability to act in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with physical assessments and collect lab specimens.
• Administer medications and basic treatments as prescribed.
• Support providers with exams, procedures, and minor clinical tasks.
• Educate patients on wellness practices and clearly communicate physician instructions.
• Ensure safety and compliance with infection control and confidentiality standards.
• Accurately chart assessments, interventions, and test results in Athena (EMR).

Benefits

• Pay: $23.00 – $25.50 per hour (based on experience) for full-time.
• Time Off: 14 days PTO, up to 5 days wellness leave, and 11 paid holidays.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (with a lunch break 12–1).
• Part-Time Pay: $26.00 – $31.00 per hour (based on experience) with flexible hours.
