About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Full Time Night Shift Manager is to take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs, exceeding expectations, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. This role requires a defined level of management skills, product knowledge, and cooperation with fellow associates. The manager will oversee the store during the night shift in the absence of the Store Manager or Co-Manager, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Harris Teeter's policies and standards. Responsibilities include training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, coaching associates, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Requirements

• High school diploma plus two years of department manager and/or store management experience.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the store and all night-shift associates to ensure a proper close.
• Receive trucks and assist in replenishing.
• Complete closing duties list.
• Coach associates as needed and follow up with direct supervisor for Progressive Discipline if necessary.
• Reflect an appropriate business image to customers and visitors.
• Inspect store frequently to ensure all operating standards are being followed and maintained.
• Communicate with customers and fellow associates regarding current promotions, marketing campaigns, and essential products.
• Keep shelves properly stocked and check merchandising displays regularly.
• Understand the overall store operation and systems.
• Adapt to various situations and adjust to shifting priorities.
• Provide assistance to fellow associates to complete daily tasks.
• Comply with Health Department requirements and follow sanitation procedures.
• Follow all safety regulations and help keep the store free of dangerous situations.
• Establish a working and shopping environment of trust, respect, and integrity.
• Support and assist fellow associates without complaint.
