This dual-physician family is looking for a full-time nanny who can take the wheel during busy weekdays and run things with confidence. Both parents work outside the home in demanding roles, so they’re seeking someone who is steady, prepared, and comfortable being the point person while they’re at work—truly, someone who is a part of their village. Reliability here isn’t a buzzword; it’s what allows the whole system to function. This active, outdoor-loving family would especially value a caregiver who feels in sync with their energetic, on-the-go lifestyle. This family previously worked with an East Wind Nannies–placed caregiver for more than three years, and they’re hoping to build that same kind of long-term, trusting partnership again. Your days will include school drop-offs and pickups as both children are in part-time school (all close by, and your own safe vehicle is a must), planning and heading out on age-appropriate outings, and managing the in-between moments that make up real life with young kids. Think playgrounds, libraries, museums, nature walks, errands, and the occasional “let’s grab a snack and regroup” pivot when plans change. Big sister (5) is curious, creative, and full of enthusiasm. She loves pretend play, music, dancing, and expressing her individuality. She attends school three afternoons per week. Little brother (3.5) is energetic, adventurous, and thrives on physical play. He loves construction vehicles and being on the move. He attends school two mornings per week. Their school hours will likely increase in the fall. At home and especially while the kids are at school, you’ll help keep things running at a realistic, lived-in level: children’s laundry, vacuuming, sweeping, and loading the dishwasher. An occasional grocery order and pick-up is appreciated as well. Nothing over the top — just the kind of maintenance that keeps weekdays from unraveling. A monthly stipend for activities, supplies for the children, and gas mileage reimbursement is provided, so anything needed for the kids can be purchased by you directly. Schedules are provided one to two months in advance, weekends are always yours, and you’ll never be micromanaged. These parents trust the person they hire and value initiative and good judgment. That said, punctuality, follow-through, and clear communication are non-negotiable in a household with medical schedules and little margin for error. This is a very long-term role (think, full-time hours for the next decade!) for someone who likes being counted on and takes pride in doing things well. Extensive experience, professionalism, and flexibility are items this family is willing to invest in! The Ideal Nanny IS…SOLID. You show up on time — always. You communicate clearly. You don’t disappear, drift, or bring chaos into the room. You understand that reliability isn’t flashy, but it’s everything. You’re nurturing without being too soft, playful without being chaotic, and confident without needing constant direction. You enjoy getting kids out of the house, coming up with ideas on the fly, and keeping days active and engaging. You align with a gentle parenting style and bring patience and steadiness to high-energy days. With parents, you’re communicative, dependable, and easy to collaborate with. You appreciate autonomy and take pride in being trusted to run the day well. You’re not looking for short-term or stopgap work — you value longevity, partnership, and becoming a meaningful part of a family’s village. If that sounds like you, this family would love to meet you, so apply today!
