Looking to be a part of a talented, compassionate and caring pediatric team? Urgent Care for Children is looking for a Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Trussville, AL clinic. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working with kids.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be a graduate from an Accredited Medical Assistant Program, or Certified Medical Assistant with relevant work experience required
• Pediatric experience a plus
• High level of professionalism
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience in using electronic medical record

Responsibilities

• Triage patients efficiently as per clinic standard operating protocols
• Record patient information such as vital signs, weight and changes in medical history prior to each appointment
• Perform lab tests as per clinical protocols and as per medical provider orders
• Update and maintain all digital client records and assist in transitioning hard copy records to digital format
• Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
• Help in the front office as needed, taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the facility
• Administer medications as directed by a provider
• Assist providers during exam and procedures
• Perform x-ray positioning as directed
• Assist in maintaining the medical inventory as needed
