About The Position

Full-Time Mechanical Engineering Faculty Frostburg State University’s Department of Engineering & Sustainable Technologies invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Mechanical Engineering faculty position in thermal-fluids, beginning Spring 2026. Areas of interest include the broad fields of thermal sciences and fluid mechanics. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Ability to teach thermal science and related engineering courses.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background and experience in Mechanical Engineering and related discipline course teaching.
  • Proven experience and engagement in engineering education.
  • Specific teaching interest in Thermodynamics, Transfer Processes, Fluid Mechanics, and other related fundamental core engineering courses.

Responsibilities

  • Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching undergraduate thermal science and fluid mechanics courses and related engineering courses, mentoring students, and developing undergraduate-level research projects.
  • Duties will include student advising, professional development activities, and service to the Department, College, and Community.
