About The Position

The position is for a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for providing nursing care to adult and geriatric residents. The LPN will utilize their knowledge of age-specific developmental factors to plan and deliver care, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents. The role includes making daily rounds, evaluating residents' physical and emotional conditions, and implementing necessary nursing interventions.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Nurse in the State.
• Previous work experience in a long-term care setting.
• Supervisory experience and organizational skills in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Listed in good standing as confirmed on the State Department of Professional Credentialing.
• Excellent technical assessment and documentation skills.
• Leadership qualities.
• Good communication skills and is patient and self-disciplined.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory experience in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents in planning delivery of care.
• Knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to care for residents with needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, infectious diseases, wound care, and other disease processes.
• Provides nursing care in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures.
• Ensures the safety and well-being of the residents is maintained.
• Makes daily rounds for all areas of nursing care under supervision.
• Visits each resident to evaluate physical and emotional condition.
• Receives comments relating to the resident's needs and problems.
• Implements necessary nursing interventions.
