About The Position

The Loss Prevention Service Specialist (LPSS) at Kohl's plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment while promoting exceptional customer service. This position is primarily located in high-risk or complex stores, where the LPSS will be highly visible, spending most of their time at the store entrance and in the 'Center Core' area. The LPSS is responsible for engaging with customers, assisting them with their needs, and implementing the Kohl's 'Smile and Say Hi' initiatives to enhance customer service. Additionally, the LPSS will work to raise awareness of shortage issues among store associates, ensuring that everyone is vigilant in preventing theft and loss. The LPSS will conduct associate package checks and perform building and physical security inspections to minimize exposure to loss. They will also promote a neat and clean store appearance at the entrance and respond to emergency situations, ensuring a safe environment for both associates and customers. While the LPSS will not make shoplifting apprehensions, they will assist loss prevention associates as necessary, contributing to the overall security strategy of the store. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work well with others, and a commitment to maintaining high ethical standards in accordance with Kohl's policies and procedures.
