About The Position

The Full-Time Live-Out Nanny position involves caring for two elementary-age daughters in a Brooklyn family. The nanny will engage the children in educational and creative activities, manage their schedules, and uphold the family's values regarding manners and respect. The role requires flexibility, as it includes travel to France during the summer and occasional weekends in the Hamptons.

Requirements

  • Legally able to work within the United States.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Must be able to travel with the family to France for the summers.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to the Hamptons throughout the year.
  • Must be a confident swimmer and comfortable in the ocean.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a similar role.
  • Must be COVID vaccinated.
  • Must be CPR/First Aid certified.
  • Excellent references required from previous employers.
  • Willing to undergo a background check (criminal & driver).
  • Willing to sign a confidentiality agreement and non-disclosure agreement before starting work.

Nice To Haves

  • Native French speaker (major plus).
  • Driver's license (for travel to the Hamptons and France, but not required).
  • Flexibility to work overtime on some weekends for occasional parties or gatherings.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with the children and minimize screen time by organizing educational and creative activities.
  • Pick up the children from school and take them to their activities.
  • Plan playdates and other activities for the children.
  • Teach manners, etiquette, and social skills to the children.
  • Ensure the house is tidy and maintained, including making beds and doing laundry.
  • Prepare meals for the children and assist with light meal prep for the family.
  • Run errands for the family, including grocery shopping and package returns.
  • Pack and unpack for the children during travel.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects around the home as needed, such as holiday decorations.
  • Oversee suppliers, contractors, and various appointments, providing updates to the parents.
