About The Position

A lovely family in San Francisco (near Oracle Park) with two working parents is looking for a true professional nanny/family assistant to help with their 4.5-month-old baby. The role will begin as soon as the right candidate is found. The schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm. The family will guarantee 40 hours per week. Some weeks may include minor adjustments to start or end times, with advance notice. Occasional evening or weekend coverage is appreciated if the nanny is open to additional hours. Responsibilities Overall infant care (bottles/pump parts, sleep routine, diapering, activities) Need to be comfortable taking the baby outside daily for walks, to playground, to music classes, etc. and keeping baby safe in a busy neighborhood (from cars/bikes on street, etc) Prepare organic meals and snacks as the baby grows Keep child’s areas tidy and organized Child laundry Help manage inventory of baby supplies (wipes, diapers, etc.) Light child related housekeeping to maintain organized common spaces Some family assistance (typically to be done when baby is with parents/time permits): Load/unload dishwasher, take out trash, keep common areas tidy Keep things organized and streamlined Identify and improve household systems when helpful (e.g. better storage bins, toy rotation) Keep fridge clean and organized (toss old food, wipe spills, organize) Maintain and restock kitchen and pantry staples (with shopping list or delivery reminders) Keep basics on hand (cut fruit, prep veggies, etc) Bring in and unpack deliveries Recycle packaging, organize new items Handle returns Run errands when needed Qualifications Knowledge of child development/ages and stages. The family hopes to incorporate Montessori and baby-led curiosity and exploration. Mastery of developmental activities throughout the first few years of infancy/toddlerhood is a must. The parents are looking for a true expert, someone who will help buy toys and supplies when needed, make recommendations based on upcoming milestones, etc. The parents are active and involved including working from home sometimes, so you must know when to fade in and out of the background while staying busy. The successful candidate will be proactive, loving, and dependable. The ideal candidate must have infant and toddler experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as a team with the parents

Requirements

  • Candidate must live within commuting distance (home is near public transportation)
  • Someone who radiates calm, positive energy
  • This is a scent free and natural/organic home and must be willing to follow family's preferences on this (e.g. no perfume or scented detergents or lotions, etc.)
  • Tech savvy: primary communication with parents will be via text, sharing photos, using a shared app, etc.
  • Must have infant and toddler experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as a team with the parents
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to recertify. Safety is non-negotiable.
  • TrustLine registered, or willing to register
  • Legal to work in the US
