About The Position
A professional, entrepreneurial couple who welcomed their first child (a girl) in early February 2026 is seeking an experienced, career nanny to join their household beginning May/June 2026. Both parents run venture funds and maintain demanding, flexible schedules. They are seeking a highly capable nanny who can confidently take over from a maternity nurse and act as a trusted partner in their child’s early development. The family is based primarily in Manhattan and spends approximately 25-30% of the year in Sun Valley, Idaho, including extended stays in both summer and winter, as well as annual international travel. The ideal candidate is Manhattan-based, passport-ready, and enthusiastic about frequent travel. Accommodations are provided when traveling and separate living quarters are available should a live-in solution in NYC be an immediate requirement. The household includes a friendly Portuguese Water Dog. A housekeeper is employed in both residences. This is a long-term opportunity for a seasoned nanny seeking stability, longevity, and the chance to grow with a family over many years.
Requirements
- Career nanny seeking a long-term role
- Confident, calm, and highly organized
- Strong communicator who can co-parent with autonomy and sound judgment
- Experienced guiding first-time parents through infancy and early childhood
- Active, outdoors-oriented, and health-minded
- Comfortable at altitude (Sun Valley ~6,000 ft) and with an active lifestyle
- Passport-ready and enthusiastic about extended travel
- Dog-friendly
- Childcare degree or equivalent professional experience
- Extensive newborn and infant experience
- Minimum 5 years professional childcare experience
- Fluent English (Spanish or other language a plus)
- Valid U.S. work authorization
- CPR & First Aid certification
- Confident driver with clean driving record
- Comfortable swimming and supervising swim activities
- Excellent references from private employers

Responsibilities
- Sole-charge care of the infant
- Seamless handoff from maternity nurse, with an overlap period preferred
- Supporting developmental milestones with an emphasis on early education and structure
- Planning and engaging in age-appropriate, developmentally focused activities
- Daily outings, park visits, classes, and enrichment activities in NYC
- Supporting swim readiness and attending swim classes
- Preparing fresh, nutritious meals from scratch when developmentally appropriate
- Managing all nursery-related duties (laundry, organization, inventory)
- Preparing for and traveling with the family domestically and internationally
- Packing/unpacking and adjusting routines across time zones
- Driving when based in Sun Valley (vehicle provided)
