About The Position

The Line Cook at Ole Red BNA is responsible for preparing and producing food in accordance with company standards while adhering to sanitation guidelines. This role involves executing various cooking techniques and ensuring that food is served promptly and safely in a busy restaurant and entertainment environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years of culinary experience preferred.
  • Minimum of six months line cook experience preferred.
  • Ability to properly set a station 'mise en place'.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and produce food following sanitation guidelines according to company standards.
  • Perform cooking procedures such as sautéing, grilling, frying, baking, and roasting.
  • Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Utilize basic to advanced knife skills for food preparation.
  • Maintain sanitation levels and properly store food products.
  • Follow standardized recipes and adhere to portion control guidelines.
  • Read kitchen display tickets and produce food items as described.
  • Monitor finished products to ensure timely service and notify leadership of delays.
  • Clean and organize kitchen areas, including walk-in coolers and food production areas.
  • Store food and chemicals properly, including labeling and dating.
  • Clean and break down workstation at the end of the shift.
  • Communicate with stewards regarding the need for clean dishes and perform dishwashing as needed.
  • Notify leadership of equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
  • Execute directions from department and venue leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
