About The Position
The Rosamond Gifford Zoo is looking for a highly motivated individual interested in a full-time keeper position in the Bird Department. Two years of experience in a zoological institution, preferably AZA-accredited, is required. Applicant must possess a valid driver's license. A four-year degree in one of the natural sciences or a closely related field is preferred. A working knowledge of the science of avian husbandry is essential. Qualified individuals will be expected to assist in the care of the animal collection under the supervision of Collection Managers and the General Curator.
