About The Position

Rasmussen University is currently looking to build a bench team for our Nursing programs at all of our Wisconsin and Illinois campus locations. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Active RN license that has never been encumbered.
  • Active CPR certification administered by either the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross.
  • 1 year clinical experience as an RN required, 2+ years preferred.
  • Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and leadership abilities.
  • Proof of professional licenses/certifications, official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution and applicable faculty immunization documentation required.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching courses in a variety of modalities while promoting and supporting the vision and mission of Rasmussen University.
  • Teaching 4.5-5.5 work units each quarter equaling a full-time work schedule.
  • Using effective teaching strategies and multiple teaching techniques.
  • Creating high levels of student engagement through activities, community building, and student-centered learning.
  • Ensuring clarity, relevance, and connection of class session objectives to course performance.
  • Organizing classroom and efficient use of class time.
  • Demonstrating mastery and ability to articulate and relate to students.
  • Playing an integral role in the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment.
  • Creating a classroom presence in support of students in collaboration with their Dean.
  • Providing student support and outreach to help students achieve learning objectives.
  • Attending events, programmatic meetings, and committee work as designated by the Dean.
