About The Position
A family in the Bee Cave/Westlake area of Austin, Texas, is seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Housekeeper to maintain their main house, a mother-in-law suite, and a casita, totaling 11,000 square feet. The ideal candidate will ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming home environment, contributing to the family's comfort and well-being. This position is long-term, with a start date as soon as possible, and offers a competitive hourly wage of $25-30. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing a consistent routine for both the employee and the family. The Housekeeper will be responsible for daily maintenance tasks, including making beds, ironing, laundry, cleaning the kitchen, washing dishes, sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms. Additionally, deep cleaning duties will involve maintaining appliances such as the refrigerator and oven, dusting, mopping, cleaning windows and fans, and caring for outdoor spaces like the patio and garage. The Housekeeper will also create and manage a cleaning schedule for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks, while keeping a running list of one-off projects that may arise. In this role, the Housekeeper will restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and communicate any issues or repairs needed to the employers. Pet care responsibilities include refilling water, cleaning up after the dogs, and letting them in and out as needed. The Housekeeper will also assist with decluttering and organizing projects, maintaining organization in closets, storage areas, and common spaces. The family has three children and three dogs, and one of the employers can communicate in Spanish if necessary. The employers work from home, which may require flexibility and adaptability in the Housekeeper's schedule and tasks.
