About The Position

The Host Cashier position in Idabel, OK, offers a full-time opportunity with an hourly wage of $12.00. The working hours are from 6pm to 12:30am on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, and from 6pm to 2:30am on Friday and Saturday. The role involves greeting restaurant patrons, answering phone calls, and ensuring that guests are seated promptly to provide a favorable dining experience. The position reports to the Venue Manager.

Requirements

• Speak, read, and write English.
• Handle cash responsibly.
• Calculate basic math functions as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
• 1+ years' experience in a high-volume fine dining or casual restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Greet restaurant patrons and answer phone calls.
• Ensure guest recognition by remembering names, faces, and information that makes each guest feel unique.
• Answer menu questions posed by patrons.
• Distribute seating as equally as possible among all food servers.
• Receive cash from customers in payment for meals.
• Operate cash register, make change, and issue receipts or tickets to customers.
• Read and record totals shown on cash register tape and verify against cash on hand.
• Pre-bus and full bus tables during peak periods.
• Promote current casino events and programs and give guests directions to all casino areas.
• Resolve minor guest complaints in a manner consistent with departmental philosophy.
• Monitor dining room to ensure it is maintained and the floor is free of debris.
• Prepare sandwiches, coffee, pastries, and other menu items as required.
• Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
