About The Position

The Customer Service role at Lowe's involves providing SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of customer service policies, procedures, and programs. The position requires seeking out customers to understand their needs and assisting them in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise. The role also includes listening to and responding knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions, demonstrating sincere appreciation to customers, and communicating information regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe's programs. Additionally, the position involves cross-functional training in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service, receiving and directing calls appropriately, and reviewing daily and weekly schedules to ensure proper coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SMART customer service through execution of Lowe's customer service policies and procedures.
  • Seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
  • Listen to and respond to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
  • Communicate information to customers regarding stock, special orders, feature benefits, application, and warranty information.
  • Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to enhance customer service.
  • Receive and direct calls appropriately to meet customer and associate needs.
  • Review daily and weekly schedules to ensure proper coverage and assign backup coverage as needed.
  • Work with the PRO team to maintain service expectations for Pro Fulfillment.
  • Pick, stage, and verify readiness of all delivery, pro, installation, and pickup orders.
  • Follow up with leadership when picking quality is not met by team members.
  • Monitor notifications to maintain customer service expectations.
  • Enter and retrieve information from Lowe's systems regarding inventory and order management.
  • Conduct walks of fulfillment area to monitor status.
  • Act as liaison between Pro and fulfillment departments.
  • Ensure all pro pickup, delivery, and install orders are picked and staged on time.
  • Pull, prepare, inspect, stage, and load merchandise for customers and delivery truck orders.
  • Verify products match invoices and orders.
  • Complete delivery and pickup administrative tasks.
  • Validate items being carried in and out of the store.
  • Ensure loads are safe, secure, and within DOT regulations.
  • Prepare the store for business by organizing merchandise and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Detect signs of shoplifting and communicate them to management.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to job duties.
  • Operate store equipment as needed.
