About The Position

The Lead Framer at Michaels in Mentor, OH is responsible for leading and coaching a team of framers to build customer relationships while creating custom framing solutions for their art. This role involves driving custom framing sales and assisting customers in creating memorable framing solutions. The Lead Framer will assist the Store Manager in managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and requirements, and executing company policies and standards. The position requires developing and coaching team selling behaviors, delivering high-quality custom framing solutions on time, and managing the framing team to achieve their KPIs. Additionally, the Lead Framer will manage inventory processes, execute shrink and safety programs, and serve as Manager on Duty (MOD). The role also includes participating in the hiring and training of new team members and supporting talent development activities.

  • Review sales and production workload and build plans for networking.
  • Manage inventory management processes.
  • Execute shrink and safety programs.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, and training of new team members.
  • Participate in performance management activities of the team.
  • Partner with MODs daily on expectations of framing.
  • Participate in truck unload and stocking processes.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure a safe environment.
  • Acknowledge customers and provide solutions.
