Faculty in Dallas College are expected to perform the duties enumerated in the formal Job Description; to fulfill their responsibilities in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Dallas College Board of Trustees and outlined in the Dallas College Board Policy Manual; and to comply with both state and federal policy. Dallas College is hiring two full time positions at the following campuses: Mountain View Campus Eastfield Campus This is a full-time faculty position in Drama and Theatre beginning August 2026. The faculty member is expected to be able to teach most or all of the following courses related to academics, production, and performance: Theatre Appreciation, Film Appreciation, Acting, Script Analysis, Voice and/or Stage Movement, and classes within the candidate's area of expertise (technical theatre, costuming, playwriting, puppetry, etc.). Successful candidates should have evidence of directing or production experience as the position will also entail functioning as a director and/or producer while overseeing student practicums for one or more productions in the department's season. The faculty member will be assigned to instruction on his/her/their home campus, but occasionally will be required to travel to other campuses for institutional service, production opportunities/needs, and the fulfillment of departmental obligations.
