About The Position

The Full Time Faculty position in Business Administration is a tenure-track role that involves teaching a full-time course schedule in various subjects including Accounting, Business, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Management. The position requires developing course materials and contributing to student learning outcomes. Classes may be held in-person at multiple locations or in a hybrid/online format. The instructor will play a critical role in fostering student success and addressing equity gaps through innovative teaching methods.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience at the college/university level or equivalent industry training experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with online instruction and/or virtual training.
  • Experience in curricular planning and assessment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven technological proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student body, faculty, and staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate in related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated versatility in teaching a range of courses in the Business area.
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence applications in instructional approaches.
  • Experience in community college teaching, advising, and curriculum development.
  • Training experience that incorporates international business and multi-cultural perspectives.
  • Proficiency with Canvas, Banner, Argos, and/or DegreeWorks.
  • Experience working on academic or college committees.
  • Commitment to closing equity gaps.
  • Ability to speak a language in addition to English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction and design course materials to meet learning outcomes.
  • Teach face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities.
  • Assess student learning and assign grades using equitable and inclusive strategies.
  • Adhere to workload specifications in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Foster student success and address equity gaps through innovative teaching.
  • Incorporate High-Impact Practices into curricular and pedagogical approaches.
  • Serve as an academic advisor to assigned students.
  • Post and maintain a minimum of four office hours per week.
  • Serve on college committees as elected or appointed.
  • Attend various meetings related to the program and department.
  • Recommend instructional materials and textbooks.
  • Participate in assessment of course and program learning outcomes.
  • Use technology effectively for communication and teaching.
  • Engage in professional development activities.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and reflect the college's core values.
  • Focus on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda.
  • Complete required training such as Title IX and FERPA.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
