About The Position

LPN - The Glen at Hiland Meadows in Queensbury, NY We have a great opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work Full Time Evenings. Requirements

  • Valid NYS LPN license
  • 1+ year of experience working in a direct patient care role handling med passes
  • 1+ year of experience as a LPN, but willing to help train the right candidate to further their skills
  • Understanding of assisted living regulations
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively in a fast pace work environment
  • Engage within a team setting
  • Strong leadership and mentorship of the Resident Assistant staff
  • Think, act and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations
  • Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field

Responsibilities

  • The nursing care of residents under the direction of the Nursing Director
  • Oversee and mentor a team of resident assistants
  • Pass medications to approximately 20 residents
  • Be able to self-direct with minimal guidance and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Maintain detailed documentation and communicate and changes in residents needs to the team
  • Foster at all times resident independence and freedom of choice
  • Education of families to make the most out of their visits with their loved ones
