About The Position

Bud's Goods & Services is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across its facilities. This role is essential for ensuring the appearance and functionality of spaces through routine cleaning, sanitization, and light maintenance tasks, while adhering to company standards and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• 1-2 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, or cleaning roles is preferred
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies, including vacuums and floor buffers.
• Knowledge of light repairs, such as changing light bulbs or unclogging drains.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications in specialized cleaning techniques or safety training (e.g., OSHA compliance)
• Experience in similar environments, such as schools, offices, or manufacturing facilities
• Prior work in environments with unique cleaning or safety needs (e.g., healthcare, food service)

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all designated areas, including floors, carpets, walls, windows, and ceilings.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies, and ensure fixtures are in working order.
• Empty and dispose of waste and recycling materials; replace liners as needed.
• Perform regular floor maintenance such as waxing, buffing, and spot-cleaning spills or stains.
• Use cleaning products to disinfect frequently touched surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
• Handle small maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor plumbing issues.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, ensuring sufficient stock levels.
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify and report potential safety hazards.
• Maintain external areas such as sidewalks and parking lots by sweeping or removing debris.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down equipment for events.
