PTO Free meal on each shift Reports to : Dietary Manager/Food Service Director Job Description : Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, recipes, and dietary requirements. Ensure all meals are of high quality, visually appealing, and served at appropriate temperatures. Adjust recipes to accommodate special dietary needs or requests (e.g., allergies, vegetarian, low-sodium). Food Safety & Sanitation: Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food items. Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen, including countertops, equipment, and storage areas. Monitor and record temperatures of food and equipment to ensure compliance with health regulations. Kitchen Operations: Assist with menu planning and food inventory management as needed. Check and replenish stock to avoid shortages; inform the Kitchen Manager of required supplies. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, and mixers safely. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure meal preparation runs smoothly. Provide guidance and support to other kitchen personnel as required. Communicate effectively with other departments to meet service expectations. Miscellaneous: Assist with serving meals during peak times, as needed.
