The Environmental Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) at Clean Harbors is responsible for handling, segregating, packing, and inspecting chemical waste in compliance with various regulations and company policies. This role involves working both indoors and outdoors at various sites, including plants, labs, and customer locations, and is crucial for ensuring safe and efficient waste disposal practices.   • Handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste according to regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with lab packs within customer facilities and household hazardous waste (HHW) collections.
  • Perform inspections of staging, accumulating, and storage areas to ensure compliance and proper housekeeping procedures.
  • Prepare computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restriction notifications.
  • Collect, segregate, and properly package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
  • Execute jobs at Clean Harbors customer locations, including Fortune 500 companies.
  • Conduct projects/jobs according to site-specific Federal, State, and local regulations and health and safety plans.
  • Sample and profile new waste streams or any waste needing analytical testing.
  • Ensure drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable according to company policies.
  • Valid Driver's license, Class B CDL required.
  • College degree in Chemistry, Natural Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in environmental services or hazardous waste management.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
