About The Position
As a Full Time CDL Delivery Driver at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional customer service while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for planning delivery activities, loading and unloading merchandise, and ensuring that all deliveries are executed according to schedule. Your day-to-day tasks will involve interacting with customers, assisting them with their needs, and ensuring that their experience with Lowe's is positive and memorable. In addition to delivering merchandise, you will be responsible for inspecting the condition of products before loading them for delivery, verifying that the items match the invoice, and ensuring that all loads are safe and secure in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You will also be required to maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of delivery vehicles, conduct daily safety reviews, and report any security risks to management. Your role will also involve using various store equipment and technology to track delivery statuses and communicate effectively with customers and team members. This position requires a Class A or B CDL license, depending on the type of vehicle you will be operating, as well as a valid medical certificate. You will need to demonstrate the ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations, and possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving commercial vehicles and a background in customer service, particularly in retail or in-home delivery settings.
