About The Position

I love movies, plays, knitting, horses, and game nights with my friends. I have a service dog who is a big sweetheart, and many neighbors who like to drop by. I enjoy attending my church, and want to get back to riding horses. I have some medical challenges, but am doing better and want to get back to doing all the things. Can you help me find the best kept secrets and some fun around town? I use a wheelchair to get around, and have my own accessible van which you would must be qualified to drive. Let me be clear; I am not looking for caretakers. I am seeking a Community Advocate to add to my team who will help me live my life on my own terms, along with all the big stuff that entails. In a given day with me, you may have several roles: Coach – Support me in making and implementing day to day decisions about my life. I know what I want, but sometimes need assistance gathering information, and then making my choices actually happen. Visionary- Assist me to dream big about my life and the things I can do. Explorer – Put on your detective hat and help me discover the possibilities in this great city. Supporter – Assist me with day to day tasks such as getting dressed, taking care of my home, attending medical appointments, getting around, and advocating with medical providers. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Maine Driver's License
  • Registered and insured vehicle
