Requirements

• High school or General education Diploma (GED).
• Three (3) years of related experience and/or training in an institutional setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Building Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Power Plant & Maintenance Manager with the completion of room ready, project, preventive maintenance, and daily work assignments.
• Provide daily assessment of the condition of facilities for areas or items requiring repair to Building Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Power Plant & Maintenance Manager.
• Make preventive maintenance inspections and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Assist in updating preventive maintenance procedures to ensure periodic equipment maintenance needs are met.
• Ensure that all assigned work orders are satisfactorily closed out and supporting data is entered into work order management system.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs on water, steam, waste, and airlines as required.
• Paint, plaster, and repair wall finishes as required and assigned.
• Ensure that all supporting paperwork for each task performed is complete and accurate.
• Maintain the condition of and ensure the availability of tools, equipment, parts, and materials.
• May be assigned tasks involving renovation or refurbishment projects.
