About The Position

The Auto Shop Mechanic performs various skilled technical services on park equipment and vehicles. This role is essential for ensuring the proper functioning and safety of both licensed highway vehicles and off-highway vehicles used within the park.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of the operational aspects of machinery components.
• Updated ASE certification.
• A valid California Driver's License and High School Diploma or valid GED.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Ability to perform various physical activities, such as climbing, crawling, and lifting, from various heights.
• Vocational or technical trade certifications.
• Demonstrate communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking), and ability to keep accurate written records.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of vehicles of licensed highway vehicles and off highway vehicles.
• Willing and able to perform and/or assist in other Park repairs and maintenance.
• Troubleshooting and/or performing general maintenance of mechanical devices and vehicles to assure proper function and safety.
• Working with hydraulics, gearboxes, and pneumatics.
• Operating updated and current vehicle scanners and being familiar with emissions controls.
