About The Position

When you join our team as an Assistant Store Manager, you'll take on key store management responsibilities including assisting with supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, and developing operational action plans while identifying training opportunities to develop and grow the team. This role is crucial in maintaining the store's operational efficiency and enhancing the customer experience. You will work closely with the direct leader to implement strategies that improve store performance and foster a positive work environment. Your leadership will help create a sense of teamwork and membership among employees, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the company's core values and objectives. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and communicating job responsibilities and performance expectations to your direct reports. You will monitor the competitive environment within the community and provide feedback to your direct leader regarding necessary adjustments to maintain the company's competitive position. Your role will also involve participating in the interviewing process for store personnel and ensuring that all store personnel adhere to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies to minimize losses. You will be expected to resolve operational customer concerns in the absence of your direct leader and maintain store cleanliness standards at all times. In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist in maintaining proper stock levels through appropriate product ordering and merchandising products neatly to maximize sales. You will ensure the quality and freshness of products for sale and assist your direct leader in achieving the store payroll and total loss budget. This position requires a proactive approach to supervising the day-to-day operations of your team, ensuring that all assigned responsibilities are completed in a timely and effective manner to provide the highest level of customer service.
