A Full Stack Software Engineer & Tester collaborates with the team to design, develop, and execute automated unit tests using the Cypress testing framework while leveraging Zephyr scale to manage test cases. They also review SW Release Packages, Software Test Reports, Software test artifacts, as well as participate in Software Peer Reviews all to ensure the team’s delivery of high quality, compliant software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (science, technology, engineering, software or math).
  • 3-5 years experience in quality engineering or other engineering role.
  • Proficiency using SQL.
  • Experience with testing frameworks (Cypress, Jest, Playwright).
  • Experience with programming languages and frameworks (JavaScript, React, NextJS, C#, Python).
  • 2+ years of work experience.
  • Experience with Agile, SCRUM.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite e.g. JIRA, Confluence.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and reasoning skills; ability to debug and resolve difficult technical problems.
  • Experience in a wide breadth of software development activities.
  • Good interpersonal skills to communicate clearly.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support to customers, suppliers, and employees in resolving issues.
  • Assist in the improvement of manufacturing, process, and product efficiency to reduce nonconforming products.
  • Ensure products meet the organizations and customers quality and product integrity requirements.
  • Support product development or operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process.
  • Participate in a cross function team in the determination of root cause of failures.
  • Identify when failure analysis is necessary, along with providing recommendations of the corrective measures.
  • Analyze data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects.
  • Create and execute manual software test cases via Zephyr Scale.
  • Write and execute unit tests with the Cypress testing framework.
  • Aid in other development tasks where needed.
  • Drive improvements to Draper’s software development process, including best practices.
