About The Position

The Enterprise Services team, part of the RTX Digital Technology function, delivers value by building foundational capabilities to enable innovative software solutions for the enterprise. Collaborating with other developers, architects, leaders, and business units, the team designs and secures next-generation enterprise-wide applications for RTX. This work provides a competitive edge, solves business problems, and transforms our operations. The Full Stack Software Engineer will design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient web applications leveraging modern technologies. This is a hybrid role based at one of Collins’ major facilities.

Requirements

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder)
Proficiency in React.js, Python, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
Strong understanding of front-end development, including responsive design and modern JavaScript frameworks.
Knowledge of back-end development, including RESTful APIs and SQL database integration.

Nice To Haves

Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Familiarity with AI technologies, including RAG, NLP, and related frameworks.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity, define technical direction, and drive end-to-end solutions.
Understanding of DevOps methodologies and best practices.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using React.js for front-end development and Python and node.js for back-end services.
Build and deploy applications on AWS and Azure cloud platforms, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and successful solution delivery, aligned with agile principles of teamwork and transparency.
Write clean, testable, and efficient code with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, maintainability, and comprehensive documentation to support long-term development.
Integrate APIs and microservices to support enterprise-grade applications.
Work with SQL databases to design, query, and optimize data storage solutions.
Implement best practices for version control and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and other DevOps tools.
Leverage knowledge of AI technologies, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), to enhance application capabilities and workflows.
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies.
Work in a highly regulated, security-conscious environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
