About The Position

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join their Space Operations directorate in Colorado Springs. This role involves developing critical mission applications for the space community, focusing on astrodynamics data for space tracking and surveillance. The position requires collaboration with a talented Agile engineering team and offers opportunities to work on impactful projects that address national security challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an engineering field with at least 8 years of technical experience.
• Experience in designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging enterprise application software.
• Proficiency in Java application development, particularly within microservice architectures.
• Experience with Angular v15 or better for building web applications and user interfaces.
• Ability to develop secure code using current security protocols.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SQL commands and queries (PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with GraphQL.
• Experience using Docker containers for development and deployment.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment using Scrum methodology.
• Previous experience with Jenkins, Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes, and GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise application software for space operations.
• Collaborate with software engineers and space analysts to process and visualize astrodynamics data.
• Participate in Agile software development practices, including design, testing, and debugging of applications.
• Ensure the security of code by implementing current security protocols such as OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
• Conduct unit and integration testing using tools like Junit and SonarQube.
