Gartner is looking for an experienced Software Engineer, to build data driven, scalable, and secure applications and tools, for supporting the sales and service delivery organization at Gartner. The individual will be part of a scrum team and will be responsible for design, development and delivery of Web Applications and microservices written in Java, Salesforce, and JavaScript frameworks like React.

  • Designing, implementing, unit, integration testing and supporting Java/Spring, Salesforce, and JavaScript (React.js, Angular.js, JQuery.js) based applications and services.
  • Contribute to the review and analysis of business requirements.
  • Collaborate on architecture and technical design discussions.
  • Perform and participate in code reviews, peer inspections and technical design/specifications.
  • Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies.
  • Learn technologies quickly and apply effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • 1-3 years of experience with Java/Spring framework development or ReactJS JavaScript framework.
  • 1 year of experience in Salesforce development (LWC, Apex, flows).
  • Postgres, or Oracle or equivalent enterprise database system experience a plus.
  • Salesforce Lightning Web Component and/or Screen Flow experience a plus.
  • Understanding of SOAP and REST based APIs.
  • Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming with design patterns.
  • Demonstrated Ability to use GIT.
  • Highly Motivated, Self-driven with problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication / interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM preferred.
