Full Stack Developer w/ Secret Clearance
About The Position
At Aperio Global, you'll be helping build a brand-new cloud-based application from scratch, embedded in a DevSecOps environment. What you'll actually be doing: You'll be a core member of a scrum team — not a cog, a contributor. That means you'll be writing, integrating, and shipping high-quality Java microservices and REST APIs using Spring Boot, and you'll be just as comfortable writing the test cases that prove they work. Your fingerprints will be on everything from unit tests (JUnit, mocking frameworks) to automation scripts and integration/regression scenarios. Day to day, you can expect to: Build and maintain microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services using the full Spring Framework (IoC, MVC, Security, Batch, and more) Write and run test automation using tools like Cucumber/Gherkin, SOAP UI, Postman, or ReadyAPI Work in GitLab CI/CD pipelines and keep code coverage and quality high Create and manage test data, report in JIRA, and review acceptance criteria Participate fully in SAFe ceremonies — Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt, the works
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience
- Strong Java chops — Java 17 experience is a plus
- Solid REST API and JSON knowledge; hands-on experience testing APIs with SOAP UI, Postman, or ReadyAPI
- Familiarity with common frameworks: Angular, React, Spring, Node.js, Docker, jQuery, or similar
- Experience with GitLab and CI/CD workflows
- Comfort working in databases and writing MySQL queries
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active Secret clearance (or higher) — or the ability to obtain and maintain one
- Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities
