The Leidos FS2 Aero team has an opening for an experienced Full Stack Software Developer to modify existing code and integrate software solutions for the Aeronautical Navigation Office. The ideal candidate has an excellent understanding of software development concepts and exceptional coding skills across different tools and projects in support of the mission.

  • Possess deep understanding of core AWS services, like compute, storage and be able to develop and deploy core services (Lambda, EC2s).
  • Utilize C#/Java and JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Shell scripting.
  • Create and document new and existing functionality within software version control repositories (gitlab).
  • Utilize DevOps principles and tools to deliver new features within an Agile construct.
  • Participate in program Agile software development initiatives (standup, planning, Increment planning) to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testing utilizing Atlassian (Jira/Confluence).
  • Use cloud computing expertise to provide system administration and modification of existing GOTS code to integrate open-source software solutions for display in a web application.
  • Develop APIs and integrate databases for interaction with Redux and React frameworks.
  • Use various open-source packages for visualization and data filtering and code modifications that apply best practices in unit and build testing.
  • Participate and collaborate with team members to assess tickets to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance Criteria.
  • Requires BS degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance prior to start and willingness and ability to obtain a Polygraph.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with REACT or modern JavaScript framework.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Python, C# development framework.
  • At least 3 years of experience with unit testing, continuous integration tools, and Gitlab version control.
  • Proactive self-starter demonstrates a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in either software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.
  • Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing.
  • AWS Developer Solutions Mindset.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Linux and/or Windows system administration.
  • At least 2 years of experience with DoD Aeronautical Datasets.
  • At least 1 year of experience with AWS cloud formation templates.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Node, NPM, Swashbuckle, REST API, Sass.
  • AWS Solutions, Developer, DevOps certification.
  • Team Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • DOD 8570 Compliant Certification (Sec+).
