About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Full Stack QA Engineer (Automation, APIs, Cloud) position for our client.
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 12 months

Requirements

• Strong QA and test automation experience
• Node.js / backend testing experience
• API testing (REST, Postman or similar tools)
• Functional, regression, and performance testing
• Automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO, MochaJS)
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps)
• Kubernetes and container-based testing
• AWS or other cloud platforms
• 6+ years of QA experience across full-stack applications
• Experience with automation frameworks and design patterns (POM, TDD, BDD)
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with microservices and distributed systems preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated test frameworks across UI, API, and backend layers
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
• Lead automation strategy and promote TDD/BDD practices
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
• Validate cloud-based applications (AWS) and containerized environments (Kubernetes)
• Conduct API testing and ensure system reliability, scalability, and security
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve code quality and testing coverage
• Mentor team members and drive QA best practices
