About The Position

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Full Stack Engineer for our client in the Financial Services domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Full Stack Software Engineering
• Proficiency with server-side/mid-tier languages, frameworks, libraries, and related technologies: Java EE, Apache Tomcat, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, Logback, SLF4j, Maven
• Client-side language, library, and framework proficiency: Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS, RxJS
• Demonstrated experience in communicating technical needs and capabilities to non-technical team members
• Robust critical thinking skills coupled with a desire for growth
• A demonstrable understanding of the Agile software development methodology
• Appreciation for and alignment to standard methodologies regarding object-oriented design, coding standards, RESTful service consumption and integration, common design patterns, secure application development, and test coverage

Nice To Haves

• Focus in financial services applications
• BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Must be very independent - not sit around and wait for handholding

Responsibilities

• Full stack Software Engineering with 7+ years of experience; focus in financial services applications is a plus
• Collaborate in a team environment to develop, deploy, and support key applications and features
• Communicate technical needs and capabilities to non-technical team members, product owners, and partners
• Utilize a long-term mentality to help produce scalable, maintainable solutions
• Decompose sophisticated business problems into creative, efficient, and scalable solutions
• Engage with peers in technical and design discussions
