About The Position

Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in applications development
  • Experience in managing an application development team, including budget and performance management
  • Solid understanding of GenAI principles and architectures, coupled with proficiency in frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers) and MLOps practices for managing the lifecycle of GenAI solutions.
  • Experience managing global technology teams
  • Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Oversee the performance, growth, and development of individual managers, providing mentorship, coaching, and career guidance.
  • Establish and champion a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence within the engineering organization.
  • Champion Agile/Scrum methodologies and foster a continuous delivery mindset within the full-stack development organization.
  • Provide high-level technical guidance and architectural oversight for major Angular frontend and Java backend initiatives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making processes, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and engineering best practices.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the full-stack ecosystem (e.g., new Angular features, Spring Boot advancements, microservices patterns) and guide teams on adoption where appropriate.
  • Act as a primary liaison between engineering, product management, and other business units, translating technical complexities into clear business implications.
  • Communicate effectively with executive leadership on team performance, project status, and strategic initiatives.
