About The Position

Our client is an early-stage, U.S.-based healthcare marketplace building a trust and matching layer for the fast-growing cash-pay medical ecosystem. Backed by seed funding and led by a founder who previously built and exited a $100M marketplace, the company is now moving from prototype to real product—and this role is central to that transition. Your Role You’ll join as the first engineering hire, reporting directly to the founder. Your mission is to transform a “vibe-coded” demo into a production-ready web product and lay the groundwork for a React Native iOS app. Success means shipping fast, making thoughtful implementation decisions, and steadily improving product quality, reliability, and intelligence.

Requirements

  • Strong React + TypeScript with excellent UI instincts
  • Solid Node.js backend experience and API design skills
  • Practical PostgreSQL data modeling and querying experience
  • Comfort deploying and operating apps on AWS
  • Experience with Git workflows, debugging, and pragmatic testing
  • Readiness to work in React Native within 60–90 days
  • Ownership mindset and comfort with ambiguity

Nice To Haves

  • Stripe integration experience
  • PostHog or similar experimentation tooling
  • Marketing attribution and conversion tracking experience
  • Curiosity integrating prompt-based AI into real products
  • Interest in improving matching or recommendation systems

Responsibilities

  • Own frontend-leaning full-stack development end to end
  • Build a polished, modern quiz and recommendation experience
  • Translate lightweight specs into shipped product quickly
  • Implement and evolve a rules-based matching engine
  • Integrate light LLM usage where it adds real product value
  • Set up Stripe payments and production-ready billing flows
  • Implement A/B testing and conversion instrumentation
  • Prepare foundations for a React Native iOS build
