Full Stack Developer (Web + AI Integrations)
About The Position
Design Shopp is a creative agency with over 17 years of experience delivering high-impact digital solutions. We specialize in web development, marketing, branding, and content production, working with organizations ranging from global enterprises to innovative startups. Our team is intentionally lean—each member plays a meaningful role in shaping outcomes, and curiosity and continuous learning are part of our DNA. We’re looking for a well-rounded developer with strong web fundamentals who is also excited about the evolving world of AI. This is a hybrid role balancing core development and AI/automation. You’ll support ongoing development projects (primarily custom WordPress sites) while helping us design and implement AI-driven solutions internally and for clients (n8n, OpenAI, Claude).
Requirements
- Strong experience with WordPress development (custom builds, not just page builders)
- Solid skills in PHP, JavaScript, and API integrations
- Comfortable working across the stack and solving real-world problems
- Interest or experience in AI tools (OpenAI, Claude, etc.)
- Exposure to or curiosity about automation tools (n8n, Zapier, etc.)
- Self-driven, resourceful, and comfortable working in a small, high-impact team
- Someone who enjoys both structured development work and exploratory innovation
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites (custom themes, plugins, integrations)
- Work with PHP, JavaScript, and modern web technologies
- Build and integrate APIs and third-party services
- Support ongoing client projects—feature development, optimizations, bug fixes
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers
- Assist in building AI-powered features using OpenAI, Claude, and similar tools
- Develop and manage workflows using n8n or other automation platforms
- Prototype and test new ideas that improve internal efficiency or client solutions
- Stay current with AI trends and bring ideas to the table
