This is an exciting opportunity to support global execution of Deloitte's tax strategy as we shift from “doing digital” to “being digital” by reimagining how we engage with our clients, deliver our services, operate our business, and create value.

  • Design, develop, debug, test, deploy and support custom applications and modules that meet business requirements.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding and working knowledge of the client's business and tax systems.
  • Meet client deadlines.
  • Design and program enterprise class web applications using ASP.NET MVC, Dot Net Framework 4.6, Dot Net Core, WCF and Web API based REST Web Services.
  • Develop responsive web pages using HTML5 and Bootstrap.
  • Write unit tests and understand test driven development.
  • Write and understand complex MS SQL queries.
  • Provide application support in collaboration with the tax team.
  • Administer web applications, services, and databases in collaboration with the infrastructure team.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax Professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week.
  • Ability to travel 10% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field required.
  • 1+ years of experience in software development with working knowledge in analysis, design and development of applications and/or systems using .Net and SQL.
  • Good understanding of design patterns and best practices of developing enterprise web applications.
  • Experience of web page performance optimization.
  • Experience of data analytics and BI tools is a plus.
  • Ability to gather and analyze requirements, produce technical designs, create the application, conduct software testing, implement the software solution and support production issues.
  • Development of application architecture, database design and/or computing platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to perform data intensive tasks and be skilled to organize the data for reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work in a complex deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in using analytical tools and instruments such as MS Excel and Microsoft Access.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development.
  • Tax or Accounting domain experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills at the business and technical level.
  • Self-starter and ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task with little supervision.
  • Additional training and certification in specialized degrees of technology is a plus.
  • Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Cloud native (Azure) development experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to Python programming, natural language processing (NLP), or other specialized AI domains is a plus.
  • Ability to mentor other team members.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with people from different time zones.
