Full Service Marina Security Guard
About The Position
The Security Guard position is responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of the company's employees, visitors, and associated property. This role calls for an individual with a professional yet approachable personality who can make sound decisions with limited supervision. The Security Guard is required to patrol, respond to safety and security threats, and establish a security presence. The security department also functions as a front-facing customer service representative for Bradford Marine and must always be polite and professional and maintain good customer relations. Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 2 years security guard experience
- Unarmed Security License (Class D) required
- Valid, up-to-date driver's license/insurance
- Objectivity/Judgement
- Ethical Conduct
- Communication Proficiency
- Customer Service
- Requires the ability to swim
- Requires climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and twisting
- Requires the ability to use speech, vision, and hearing
- Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
- Exposure to changes in temperature and humidity
Nice To Haves
- Military or previous law enforcement experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Protect the company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
- Monitoring alarms and surveillance systems
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
- Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards, and other security-related situations
- Provides any needed assistance to customers, employees, and visitors following the department's procedures
- Greeting visitors, checking them in, and directing them to the appropriate department
- May perform duties during required coverage as assigned
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the security department manager
