About The Position

The Rollins College Department of Theatre & Dance is seeking a Full Professor for The Winnie Warden Endowed Chair faculty position, starting in fall 2025. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in teaching within a BA theatre program and a Ph.D. in Theatre or a related field, with a specialization in non-Western theatre traditions. This role involves directing productions, teaching various theatre courses, and contributing to the department and college community.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Theatre, Performance Studies, or a related field.
• Extensive experience teaching undergraduates in a BA theatre program in a liberal arts setting.
• Extensive experience directing undergraduate productions.
• Specialization in non-Western theatre traditions.
• Ability to teach courses such as Global Theatre, Theatre History, and Script Analysis.

• Preference for candidates currently holding the rank of full professor at their university.

Responsibilities

• Direct productions for the public-facing season at the Annie Russell Theatre.
• Teach courses such as theatre history, script analysis, and global theatre.
• Participate fully in department and college life.
• Contribute to the reputation and stature of the Annie Russell Theatre and the Department of Theatre & Dance.
• Engage in service commitments to the Theatre program and College.
