About The Position

The Food & Beverage Cashier at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort is responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing payments, and ensuring guest satisfaction across various dining outlets. This role involves greeting guests, operating cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized work area while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months prior food service experience preferred.
• Care certification preferred.
• Ability to attend to multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Legible handwriting and ability to perform basic math operations quickly and correctly.
• Effective communication skills to convey information to others.
• Willingness to learn and adaptability with attention to detail.
• Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes.
• Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a fast-paced food service environment.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage recipes.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon entry and seat them according to the rotation schedule.
• Operate cash register and properly settle checks.
• Tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners.
• Receive payment by cash, credit cards, comps, or automatic debits and issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Record tips from credit cards, automatic debits, and comp customers.
• Keep work area neat and clean and assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints.
• Balance register at the end of the shift and build relationships with customers.
• Demonstrate superior customer service skills and ensure service recovery activities.
• Maintain an upbeat and positive attitude, creating an atmosphere of luck and positive energy.
• Assist in clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables, and provide a warm farewell to guests.
• Participate as a team member by volunteering and being involved with projects and committees.
