Pera Liya Inc. is a Contracted Service Provider for FedEx Ground, seeking dependable Pickup and Delivery (P&D) drivers to join our team. The position involves delivering and picking up packages from businesses and residential locations in Braintree, MA, with dispatch from our Quincy terminal. As a driver, you will be responsible for managing an average of 140+ stops per day, handling packages that can weigh up to 150 lbs. Our routes are designed to ensure that drivers complete their deliveries by 5-6 PM each day, with shorter hours on weekends. Given that FedEx Ground operates seven days a week, weekend availability is essential for this role. We are looking for individuals who are committed to safety and possess excellent customer service skills. Punctuality, energy, and honesty are key traits we value in our drivers. Importantly, a CDL license is not required for this position, making it accessible for those with a Class C driving license. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and must pass a DOT medical/physical exam, a drug test, and a pre-employment background check. A clean criminal record and a good driving history are also mandatory, with no history of reckless driving or DUI/DWI convictions. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of verifiable delivery driving experience, preferably with commercial driving experience, and experience driving a 26-foot box truck is a plus. The ability to move packages weighing up to 150 lbs is necessary, and candidates must have legal status to work in the US.
