About The Position

We are seeking experienced full-charge bookkeepers to join our team on a part-time contract basis, with the potential for hire after 30-90 days. This is an excellent opportunity for seasoned professionals to contribute to our growing business and work with a diverse portfolio of clients. The position will work at our office in downtown Carlsbad, requiring in-person attendance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years hands-on experience as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop & QuickBooks Online accounting software.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Plus an AA or BS Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. If no degree, then 10+ years hands-on experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliation.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP.
• Perform general ledger accounting and journal entries, ensuring accuracy in debits and credits.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to streamline financial processes.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and assist in financial audits as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to support financial planning and budgeting activities.
