About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to manage all aspects of bookkeeping for our organization. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper in multifamily and commercial real estate or similar role, demonstrating proficiency in accounting practices.
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts including debits, credits, tax regulations, and technical accounting standards.
  • Experience with bank reconciliation processes and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Familiarity with property management accounting software is essential; experience with specific financial software is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with team members when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support management decision-making.
  • Utilize financial real estate property management software for tracking expenses, revenues, and overall financial health of the organization.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure proper documentation is in place.
